If you experience psychological problems that interfere with your daily functioning it is important to seek professional help.

On this page you can find information about organisations and initiatives that provide free professional psychological support in the Netherlands, Lithuania and online.



Netherlands



The first step towards receiving professional psychological help in the Netherlands is to contact your general practitioner (huisarts) who can refer you to a specialist.

You can contact your general practitioner during office hours. Outside of them you can contact the central general practitioner station in your region or the emergency number 112.

Psychological help for temporary displaced Ukrainian people in the Netherlands is covered by RMO insurance and you will not need to pay for it yourself.

Empatia program



In the Netherlands y ou can also receive mental health support in Ukrainian language via Empatia program, which connects temporary displaced people with Ukrainian psychologists working in the country.  

This help is also covered by RWO insurance and is free for you.

On the web-site of Empatia program you can find the map of Ukrainian mental health professionals who work in the Netherlands, as well as a step by step instruction on getting the help you need.



MIND Korrelatie


You can also receive support from the national organisation MIND Korrelatie, which offers anonymous, professional, psychological and psychosocial help. Psychologists and social workers from MIND Korrelatie listen, advise and, if necessary, refer to appropriate help.


Lithuania



You can find information about health services, professional psychological help and other support provided to temporary displaced Ukrainian people in Lithuania on the dedicated page of the government web-site LTUA.


Hotline


You can receive free psychological support via the central hotline for emotional assistance to victims of war in Ukraine by calling 1809 or +37066465792.


Manodaktaras


Free psychological assistance by qualified psychologists is also remotely provided via a platform Manodaktaras. You can sign up for a free video consultation with them via this link.

Friend /  Друг – First aid bot


Free psychological first aid chatbot that can help you to reduce stress and solve some psychological issues. It is developed by Bogomolets National Medical Univirsity (Kyiv, Ukraine) in cooperation with ECNP Traumatic Stress Network, Vrje University Amsterdam and Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Doing What Matters in Times of Stress

A digital version of “Doing What Matters in Times of Stress” (DWM), a stress management guide for coping with adversity, originally developed by The World Health Organization and informed by evidence and field testing. The guide provides easy to learn skills and audio exercises that can be practiced for just a few minutes each day to help you cope with stress. It is for anyone who experiences stress, wherever they live and whatever their circumstances.

Charity organisation of psychotherapists Жінка і Війна can offer 10 free onlne sessions with a therapist. You can register with them via this bot.


Tell Me /  Розкажи мені


Online platform Tell Me provides Ukrainians with free psychological help. If you feel anxious, have panic attacks, or feel close to depression you can leave a request for help on their web-site. A specialist will contact you as soon as possible.

Ipso-care is a free professional psycho-social helpline.


Svitlo - Ukrainian meditations


Svitlo is a free Ukrainian application for practicing meditation. Daily use can help you to become calmer, more focused, stress resilient and productive.  The app is available for IOS and Android.
